How to accept that your spouse is a bedwetter?

I've been married for 1 year and my husband is a bedwetter. Before I got married I was accepting and didn't think it was a big deal. But it is harder now.\n\n I have read some posts of people saying to their spouses: 'Get over it! Would you rather have me wet the bed?" Of course I wouln't rather have him wet the bed and I AM trying to get over it. That's why I am joining this Discussion Forum.\n\n My husband just started wearing these diaper shirts. I know he does it because it is more comfortable, but to me it is another thing I have to accept. He wet the bed before we got married, but not every night, he would be dry about once or twice a week. Now he is wet every single night and I worry that part of it is from the stress of being in a blended family. I especially worried about that when he started wearing diapers to work also, even though he doesn't need to. Just for comfort. He doesn't do this anymore after we went to talk to a counsellor about this.\n\n It is very important that I am accepting and supportive of him. Sometimes I don't understand why it is so hard for me. After all: He could have much, much worse problems. I am asking partners of bedwetters to please respond to this post and share how they learned to accept the issue.
